Nancy Nelson Howard, 72, tax accountant, passed away January 7, 2010.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts January 17, 1937, graduate of Vassar College in 1959, married Chet in 1964, she was a resident of Ormond Beach for 39 years.  Her lifelong passion for tennis kept her busy on the courts along with nature adventures, bicycling, swimming, skiing, Native American beading, and enjoying time with family and friends.  Nancy had an energetic fun loving spirit and zest for life that will continue to live on forever.  She is survived by her daughters Lynn Howard and Ivy Evans, brother Jerry Nelson (Lettie), nieces and nephews: Amy, David, Debbie and Jill.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Daytona Beach.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the organization of your choice.
